Just a week after the tremendous success of “Wolverine”, another blockbuster hits the theaters this Friday. J.J. Abrams recreates the legendary ‘Star Trek’. Producers expect the movie to appeal beyond the ‘Trekkers’ and become a huge success.
As Chris Pine said (who plays Captain Kirk) “there were two obstacles; the first being that in the pop cultural tug-of-war between Star Wars and Star Trek, Trek was perceived to be what your dad watched. [..] The other one is that after five Trek TV series and 10 movies, we pretty much know everything that happens to everybody who “lives” from the late 21st to the 24th centuries.”
Hugh Jackman’s new movie “X-Men Origins’ was leaked last week on the internet. Production company hurried to declare the piece incomplete and FBI is currently investigating the illegal copy.
The unfinished version of the film has been downloaded, through the file-sharing programs, by an estimated 100,000 people since the copy leaked. Hugh Jackman said he was “heartbroken” and disappointed in this twist of events and described the copy as “a Ferrari without a paint job”.
The movie hits global theaters on May the 1st. Irrespective of the leak, the movie has nothing to be afraid of in terms of turnover expectations. It’s gonna be a blast and no leak could damage such an upcoming blockbuster.
